here I am....again.
did you miss me rabbiting on?
a quick update....
have completed an embroidered daisy block, may go on with the other blocks to make a quilt,
am in the middle of appliqueing the second block for my long-term applique project
hope to exhibit a quilt next weekend at a local Ag show
baby rumer has been to the audiologist and may have some degree of hearing loss, will follow that one up and let you all know....she will be re-tested in October
I have slowly turned all my quilting lists back on, and will hopefully get into the swing of things again.
have SO much applique prepped, just have to stitch it, although it is mostly blanket stitch. I try to limit how much needlturn I have, seems I need to concentrate more with that :>)
oh, and I suppose I SHOULD show a quilt picture, seeing how i thought this would be a mostly quilting blog.......
Even the batting was scraps, all I paid for was the utility quilting. It is a good size for the sofa, or forts, cubbies, cats, dogs or babies. Has even done duty as a bed quilt.
Have another bag of strips, maybe time for another quilt
...but for now I am off to play in another scrap pile. LOL

This quilt was made when I decided that I wanted NEW fabrics, but felt I should use what I had first, way before I knew about Bonnie Hunter or the Mavericks blog ring.
It is a scrappy log cabin lap quilt. I not only collect, but USE "I Spy" fabrics.
All the leftovers from making quilts for my kids got cut into strips and combined with a bunch of black scraps I had. Useful larger scraps were pieced into the back......I wasn't being artistic, I was being CHEAP!! LOLEven the batting was scraps, all I paid for was the utility quilting.
